MOU (KINGPC & FAIREEH) -On May 8, 2026
At the Spring Domestic Conference of the Korean Institute of Next Generation Computing, Professor Seokjoo Shin, President of the Institute, and Professor Sung Wook Baik, President of FAIREEH, signed an MOU agreement. Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to collaborate on international joint research initiatives and the co-organization of international academic conferences and related scholarly activities.
Election of Second Chair (NGDC) - On May 8, 2026
At the Next-Generation Data Convergence Research Society (NGDC) Workshop held on May 8, 2026, Professor Deokhwan Kim of Inha University was elected as the second chair of the research group. Professor Kim stated that he would play a leading role in promoting international joint research projects and international academic events in collaboration with FAIREEH. He also explained that the Next-Generation Data Convergence Research Society will operate under a dual structure affiliated with both KINGPC and FAIREEH
MOU (IISRC & FAIREEH) -On May 14, 2026The Intelligent Information Society Research Center (IISRC), led by Director CheolSu Lim, and the Foundation for AI Rights and Equity of Education and Healthcare (FAIREEH), led by President Sung Wook Baik, signed an MOU to establish a strategic partnership.
The two organizations will collaborate globally to advance ethical AI and bridge digital divides, focusing on:
Joint R&D: Pursuing AI research projects funded by the U.S. and Korean governments.
Academic Exchange: Co-organizing international conferences and workshops.
AI Education: Developing programs for AI ethics, literacy, and medical AI applications.
Digital Equity: Enhancing education and healthcare accessibility for underserved communities.
This collaborative framework will remain in effect for three years, driving meaningful Korea-U.S. scientific cooperation for an equitable digital future.
